Custom commissions · async by design

Custom Commissionsfor ideas that have outgrown their first shape.

I design and build personality-rich websites, refined template transformations, website-focused visual direction, complete brand kits, and interactive digital worlds for creators and small brands who want to feel unmistakably present online.

No perfect brief required. A thoughtful first note is enough.

A Small Beginning

for ideas still finding their shape

01.

Beginning: Some ideas arrive already knowing what they are. Others appear as a folder of screenshots, a half-written paragraph, and a feeling you cannot quite name yet.

Both are welcome here. My work is to listen for the pulse beneath the scattered pieces, then give it a structure that feels beautiful, credible, and clear enough for other people to enter.

Where the numbers begin.

Every project is quoted individually, but these starting points can help you compare the nearest paths, understand what may shape the final quote, and decide what feels realistic for this season.

A complete website brand kit begins at $550 when paired with a website commission. Standalone brand-kit projects begin at $650. Eligible Canva landing pages and simple one-page sites may receive a $100 platform adjustment when the format is genuinely the right fit.

Logic-heavy game, clue, branching, progress, or user-state systems are quoted by scope and generally begin at $2,500.

What shapes the final quote

Scope, content readiness, page count, functionality, product count, motion, platform, migration, branding readiness, and timeline. Website starting prices assume final client-provided copy, imagery, product information, and policy language unless those services are added.

Booking rhythm

Projects under $1,500 generally book with 50% to begin and 50% before launch or transfer. Projects from $1,500 to $3,000 generally use a 40%, 30%, 30% milestone schedule. Larger scopes follow the proposal.

Inside the commission

Clear edges make more room for beautiful work.

The exact agreement changes by project. These are the usual boundaries that keep the process calm, specific, and fair to both of us.

The async process

A calmer way to bring something custom into form.

Written, organized, and intentionally spacious. We give the idea a container first, then refine what belongs inside it.

  1. 01

    Send the first note

The guided inquiry gives me the shape of the idea, your goals, your timing, and the pieces that already exist.

  2. 02

    I study the fit

I review everything and recommend the clearest path, platform, scope, and starting investment by email.

  3. 03

    We name the direction

The project begins with written prompts, references, structure, and a shared understanding of what the website needs to make possible. When branding is included, the visual foundation or brand kit is approved before the website design begins.

  4. 04

    I build and refine

You receive organized previews and clear checkpoints. Feedback stays consolidated, thoughtful, and calm.

  5. 05

The work becomes ready to be seen

Before handoff, I test the mobile experience, links, forms, and launch details so the finished site can leave the studio with confidence.

Questions, softly answered

Before you send the first note.

The full inquiry will collect the practical details. These are the questions that tend to arrive first.

01Do I need to know exactly what I want before I inquire?

No! A general sense of what you are building is plenty. You don't need to arrive with the perfect platform, page count, or final structure. The inquiry is designed to help us formulate the best structure for you before we begin the build process.

02Is the process truly async?

Yes! The default rhythm is email communication, secure forms, organized notes, previews, and clear project checkpoints. A live conversation can be discussed if a project genuinely needs one, but it is not the center of the process.

03Can you customize a template I bought somewhere else?

Often, yes! It depends on the platform, the template license, and how much flexibility or access the template allows. Include the link in your inquiry and I will tell you what is realistically possible.

04What is the difference between starter visual direction and the complete website brand kit?

Starter visual direction begins at $175 and includes a website-focused moodboard, color palette, type pairing, and image direction without logo design. The complete website brand kit begins at $550 when paired with a website commission and includes a primary logo, one supporting logomark or wordmark, palette, moodboard, type pairing, image direction, a concise reference PDF, and practical PDF, SVG, and PNG exports. It is intentionally a focused website brand system rather than an expansive strategy-led identity engagement.

05Can I book branding without a website?

Yes. A standalone complete website brand kit begins at $650 because it requires its own discovery, project structure, presentation, and handoff. Naming, messaging strategy, packaging, social templates, print collateral, custom illustration, and trademark services are quoted separately.

06What platforms do you work with?

The platform depends on the project. My strongest paths include hand-coded React and Next.js builds, Framer, Canva, Shopify, and selected builder-based projects such as Squarespace or Wix when the scope is a good fit.

07Is a Canva website less expensive?

For an eligible landing page, simple portfolio, or contained one-page site, it can be. Canva uses a lighter implementation process, so qualifying projects may receive a $100 platform adjustment. It is not the right recommendation for shops, CMS-heavy sites, advanced integrations, or projects that need highly customized responsive behavior.

08Can you build a game or interactive digital experience?

Yes, for contained web-based experiences. Concept-heavy projects are usually strongest when phased into a first version, a prototype, and any later expansion. That keeps the scope clear while leaving room for the imaginative parts to form.

When the idea is ready enough to be named

Tell me what wants to be built.

You do not need the perfect scope yet. Share what you already know, what you are still deciding, and any pieces already in place. I will study the shape of the project and recommend the clearest next step by email.
